Hi All

I've added a page to my website for the project I'm working on - Its called Fairy Fantasy and is an RTS game for young kids - aged 4-8 :) .

http://www.cairnsgames.co.za/fairy/fairy.htm

Comments are welcome. I will add a more detailed game design doc when its finished (are they ever finished :?: ).

Cheers

Very cool, very original! I like the ideas you've put into motion. Keep up the good work.

P.S. It ran at about 30FPS on my system:

Pentium III 600EB
512MB SDRAM
UDMA 66 HDD
GeForce 2 MX400 (Resolution 1024x768)
Windows 98SE

As Xorcist said it's cool and original game! :D It'll be interesting to see where it'll end.

In 1280 x 1024 x 32 I got about 5 fps
In 1024 x 784 x 16 I got 25 fps
In 800 x 600 x 16 I got 40 fps

I've got a Pentium III 800 MHz
256 MB RAM
NVIDIA RIVA TNT MODEL 64
Win98

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep adding new versions as I go along. I'm trying to get around to do the pathfinding.

FPs seem very low though :( Maybe I should switch to 800x600 as it'll improve quite a lot.

Cheers

1156x864x32 - 30fps

1600x1200x32 - 20fps

P4 1.7Ghz, 256k Cache
256mb PC-800 RDRAM
80gb Caviar Western Digital (8mb Cache)
64mb Geforce 3 (Oc - 220mhz Core/ 480mhz Memory)

I'll try get a page created with the Articles I've found helpful. I'll also mark them
1. Must Read
2. Usefull
3. Browsable
4. Not worth the effort

I'd start with TheLions tutorial on Creating a Game using DirectX - There are some areas I disagree with him but its a great starting point.

200 BUGS - if thats all thats in there I'll be happy :) The only program that doesn't have bugs is one that isn't being used.
