  • Druids: Battle of Magic now on Desura Game Network

    The popular puzzle game made by Brazilian developer Cezar Wagenheimer, Druids: Battle of Magic is now availible on the Desura game network. Desura, in case you haven't heard of it, is a gaming network and store similar to Steam, but targeted more towards indie game developers. Currently it only supports Windows, but a Linux and Mac OS X client is promised soon.

    And if you've not year of Wagenheimer's Druids game it was released some time ago on Big Fish Games and other online stores and developed using Delphi and the Asphyre eXtreme game component library. The game is available for Windows, has 110 challenging levels, a built-in level editor, great looking graphics, music and a mystic storyline. A free demo is also available.


    Story: "The recipes to the secret potions that maintain peace and harmony throughout the land are contained within the Book of the Druids. The book was stolen and four ancient druids set off toward the Dark Castle to seek the valuable tome and restore peace to the land. Assist them in their quest by matching three or more Symbols of Power to fill up their magic reserves and unleash their enchantments. They are counting on you to return what is rightfully theirs and stop evil from possessing this ultimate power!"

      Desura is still brand new, but I'm sure that it yet will be great for indie developers!

      I also recommend Intel App Up, http://appdeveloper.intel.com/en-us/tags/appup. Druids is also selling there.

      Both are good for Indies that still does not have publishers for theirs games, and also to increase sales of those already have!

      I wonder how did you make it work with Delphi I found a wrapper which is restricted for use in commercial apps and you must pay 10% of revenue for using it.

      I used the bakno wrapper! I have sent them a e-mail and they send me a free license. To tell the truth, now I don't remember how did I got the free license, I will send an e-mail to them and ask again!

      Congrats on a payment! Logical games always was popular it seems.

      Thanks for the link! Now I got one little problem... organization stuff. Too bad you can submit apps as individual. Anyways I hope they don't rake the annual fee automatically and I can termnate my account anytime
