by Traveler on December 31, 2009, 11:10:00 AM As I'm writing this, 2009 only has about six hours left. The radio is playing in the background. As usual around this time of year they have some kind of top 1000 running. Funnily enough Black Eyed Peas with "I gotta feeling" is on right now:
"I gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night". Well, you and me both!
On behalf of the other PGD admins I not only wish you a good night, but a great 2010 as well! May it bring happiness and good health for you and every one around you.

by Traveler on November 22, 2009, 06:20:00 AMChronozphere informed us about DeleD going OpenSource!
DeleD is a 3d-modeler written in pascal, with a small but friendly community.
The source will be released on January 15, 2010. Pascal programmers interested in some delicious DeleD development are welcome to join. The people at Delgine are now discussing the license of the so called DeleD CE (Community Edition). Moreover, People have suggested to port the project to other platforms by using FreePascal. So join the discussion if you are interested.

by Traveler on September 16, 2009, 04:58:00 PM One of our newest members JB2009 informed us that he has translated the Direct3D 10+10.1+11 and Direct3DX 10+11 C++ header files to Delphi interface units, as well as DXGI, Direct2D1 and DirectWrite. They are based on the August 2009 DirectX SDK (released 8th Sept 2009).
You can find them via his "DirectXForDelphi" blog at http://directxfordelphi.blogspot.com/. He makes regular updates to the translations, to optimize usability etc.
In case you have a blog, he's kindly asking for your help to let the world know about his work so that others may benefit from these headers as well. Any kind of advertisement is most welcome.

by Traveler on September 15, 2009, 02:52:00 PM This is an important announcement to all of you who are competing in this years PGD Annual. Several of you have made it clear that within the remaining two weeks it will be impossible to complete your entry. We understand that working on your entry does not always mix well together with real life issues. And given the fact that we like to see as many fun and exciting Pascal games as possible, we have decided to extend the deadline with an additional two months! The new deadline is: November 29th 2009!
We hope that this is enough time to complete your games.
Be aware that this new date has no implications for your score. ie, there is not going to be a bonus if you stick to the original date, nor a penalty if you use the extra time.
Good luck! 863 Views | Rating: (0 rates)
