Yes, that's a pretty accurate description of how I imagine them.

Note, however, that there is a variant: The newbie who is mistaken for forum troll, after posting posts like "how do I insert a CD into my iPad" or "I can't find Internet Explorer in the Mac/Linux computer, this is a useless computer!" Not all such posts are made by real trolls.

The latter example is of course very close to a forum troll, since that person is so easily irritated that he (or she) starts making negative general conclusions about the system based on personal ignorance and not really trying. Might turn into a full forum troll one soon, encouraged by people who will promptly call him an idiot, so he will feel that he needs revenge. And then the skin starts shifting into green...

But you can actually stop that process if you, before it is too late, approach them with kindness and understanding. It doesn't help against a fully developed forum troll, he will only respond to that with scorn, but for others there is still a chance.

    Nice Paul.

Now we just need the anatomy of a spammer. Or Spam Bot Schemeatics. Of which one just posted here (unseen to all of you) and I nuked him.
