Ok, I'm not normally the person that is waiting with baited breath to get my hands on a game. A friend of mine forwarded me this video, and after watching it I'm WAITING. Since I didn't know if anyone else would be interested or not, I thought I'd at least post it up for the rest of you to see. Has nothing to do with Pascal, but the idea and what is shown off is really cool.

Basically its a game where you start as an amebia and build yourself up into a galaxy conquoring lifeform. The entire game is achieved through procedural development (really interesting topic) and as I said its damned impressive. BTW: I want the last "Weapon" that they show off

Warning though, the movie is about an hour long.

This is a very interesting concept and I'd love to get into a big discussion with ya'll about procedural math, since I don't understand it that well.

I saw a few preview vids a little while back, but they weren't that long. Thanks, J!

Another cool game, and the first game I ever thought interesting enough to preorder: Galactic Civilizations 2. I think it's well worth the money, since it's the first strategy game I have throroughly enjoyed since Tiberian Sun was released.

Oh my god! That is pretty much everything i've ever dreamed of for a game  Too bad i can predict it will have a monthly fee like world of warcraft but hell yeah that video is a must see! Simply groundbreaking...

Actually there won't be a monthly fee to it at all. You don't even need an internet connection to play it. If you have a connection it can use it to get other stuff, but out of the box it has 1000's of things already and it can create more on its own.

I'm definately going to have to pay more attention to the Procedural world .
