    I thought he was going to use the IDE interface - but he is just using the hdd as a case. I guess I was expecting a bit much

    Well it was sort of a neat idea. He stripped a lot of unneeded materials and created a new multi-drive system really. Though it is physically nothing more than 4 external drives, if someone were so ingenious I supposed they could create a controller board that would act as an interface. You could even make it a RAID drive system too.

    There are lots of cables (etc) that allow you to use an ide device on an usb cable. But i the other way around does not exist for as far as i am aware.

    Although i read about an drive capeaable of using sd cards (http://www.bit-tech.net/news/hardwar...ssd_sd_cards/1) Bit costly though.

    lol.. that's pretty neat.

    If you make a USB -> IDE interface, you'll probably loose the extra speed gained when using USB only.
    Coders rule nr 1: Face ur bugz.. dont cage them with code, kill'em with ur cursor.
