    Post Jan Horn Memorial Video

I just spotted the Jan Horn memorial video on YouTube while I was having a look around. For those of you who unfortuantely don't know who he is; He is one of the first of the few Object Pascal programmers who created some of the first OpenGL great demos with Delphi and released te sources to everyone so that they could share and learn from them. This was done with his group SULACO with another South African programmer called McCLaw. He also was the main programmer behind the Quake 2 Delphi translation project which was very popular not too many years ago.

He helped so many people and had such energy for creating wonderful 3D demos and special effects. It's a shame that he could not be with us longer and take part in what making games in Object Pascal what it is today. At least we can take from his example and let it inspire us a little.

Jan was a very skilled programmer and his work helped a lot of people. His sources are a mine of tricks and hints for sure. Maybe we should do something for his memory, maybe dedicating him our compos, or something like this

I was thinking of doing a commemoration event for him... People submit a graphical demo that simply show us something really stunning for Jan. Examples, water effects (waterfall, drops, falling rain) snow, fire, fire works or something else that creates a mini spectacle worthy of the late Jan Horn.

What do you guys think? We can set the deadline for the anniversary of his passing. Give everyone a month or so to create something...
