    Space stations..

Does any one know of any complete space station models.. what i mean by complete is with exterior and interior, pref. with textures.

I am trying to do my own, but to say the least its coming out like trash, and having so many problems converting it

    Thanx for any help..

With exterior AND interior? That's going to be tough to find.. The best you'd get without paying for it is a basic low poly model from one of the free-model websites.. If you're willing to pay, you could probably get a very nice looking model (with textures if youre lucky), but I doubt it would have an interior as well. I think you'd have to model it separately...

    Download Font Studio 4.21 here.

lol yeah i thought it would be a very difficult one to find, as i said im trying to model it myself, the exteriour is ok, its just i have'nt cant much creativity for the interiour and then theres all the details :s
The worst thing is, im guna at least 14 different stations, so to buy it will get very expensive..

i saw a few on turbo squid but didnt like them at all, they looked to much like drop ships

    Thanx for your help anyway

If you are building your own one way to make things easier (andi've done this for a shuttle myself) is to draw the outer then save that, then save the same model and the interior name, then reverse all the face normals and shrink the whole model a bit. This will give you an inner shell to work on.

Then it's just a question of moving vertices about and adding more internal detail.

The other option is to use something like Dedit (I think that is the name) to build the interior first, then put the shell around it.

The other option is to design some prefabricated parts from which to build all the station interiors from, then it's would jsut be a question of putting the prefabs together in a what that matches the shell....

    Space stations..

    Thanx for the tips
Because the station is so big i think i will try dividing everything up, it benefits my engine that way too.. makes it easier to split the station in to sections
so far i am only working 6 sections, when they are done i will prob post some screens.. if i get that far lol

    Space stations..

    looking good

I use UnWrap 3D which is a great tool, it basically allows you to generate a image which contains you texture coordinates that you can then load into GIMP, Adobe etc and just draw your texture. It's cheap and well worth the money. http://www.unwrap3d.com

Not sure if Cinema 4D format is supported though.

    Space stations..

    Thanx
I still want to add some other small bits on for i texture it, such as antenna's, cannons & turrets (for defence purposes in the game), and some viewport frames & other small details.. :s

Yeah i have heard of unwrap, it doesnt support cinema 4D, but i can export to 3ds or obj.. I can use bodypaint for getting the texture coordinates etc
