Android tablet PC (up to $200 AUD) - recommendations anyone?

    Hey all,
I am looking at buying an Android tablet PC (up to $200 AUD, including postage) and thought I would see if any one here might have some ideas

Here are the specifications that I am hoping for (or close):

    CPU Speed : 1.0 Ghz
    Memory : 512MB DDR2
    Storage : 4GB NAND
External Storage : microSD (up to 32GB)
Operating System : Android 2.2 (or higher)
    Touchscreen : 7" - 10" Capacitive Touchscreen (multi-touch preferable)
    Screen Resolution : 800 x 480
    Wi-Fi Support : Wireless built-in
    G-Sensor: : preferable
Camera : 1.3M - Front Facing (can live without I guess)
    Battery : 3600mAh
HDMI output : yes, but can live without
Hardware 3D support : must have.
Flash support : can live without I guess, but nice.

This one here seems rather good, but I don't know if it has hardware 3D, is multi-touch, or has flash:

OMG... Now I have to typ-e my reply again.. ehmm

I wouldn't go for that Kogan tablet. Seems like an unknown/unreliable vendor (I Might be wrong). Also If you go for a well known one, you'll find more fan-communities, rootkits etc..

I was thinking 'bout buying the Archos 101, but I have some doubts after I've seen that the screen viewing angle sucks (colors will get odd at small angles). Maybe I'll still buy it, but the Adam tablet and the Asus EEE Pad Transformer seem like very attractive alternatives (They have higher prices though ).

Would love to do some android development since it's the booming thing now. I'll probably do this in Java though (Maybe in Pascal if there are decent libraries/support).
Coders rule nr 1: Face ur bugz.. dont cage them with code, kill'em with ur cursor.

If the Kogan's tablet built on Samsung A8 PV210 CPU it's definitely worth buying. The CPU has powerful built-in GPU.

I bought here and it is very well built and matches all specifications. Actually now they selling a newer version of the tablet which is slightly better.

This is almost the same tablet as I have. Some people bought here and confirm this.

So, Mirage, how long have you had your tablet, and has it been any good?

    cheers,

This one is exactly what I have. It's called HAIPAD M7. There are some reviews on youtube.
Spec say that it has 2x2200 Mah battery but it actually means 2200 Mah in total.

I bought this a few weeks ago for development and only now have some time to install SDK and learn.
It's definitely worth its money and even more.
All features are here and working. It is fast enough to run 3D games like Asphalt.
Now it's capable of OpenGL ES 1.1 but with Android 2.3 it will support OpenGL ES 2.0. Unofficial (and unstable) firmware with 2.3 already exists.

Nice! Thanks Mirarge for the "review"

I don't suppose you'd know if it is possible to upgrade it in the future if necessary (Android 3.0 comes to mind)?

Even if it isn't possible to upgrade, it sounds right up my alley, so to speak, especially with the 3d games...yay!

    cheers,

Well, the only thing I can confirm is that dealextreme is legitimate (ordered stuff off there some half dozen times). The products it sells, on the other hand... the quality / marketing is up to you to decide. Usually they'll update the product info if people say they are getting different specs than advertised.
