    PGDmC: MovingMaze

Hi, I just uploaded my entry to the FTP.

I read the post from Sascha Willems about the PDGmC at DelphiGL.com, and immediatly came up with an idea for a maze game. Originally I planned only to use one button, but it turned out not to be fun at all. Now Up, Down, Left and Right are used.

Most of the game was completed two weeks ago. Today I just added a simple menu and tried to polish as much as possible in short time. Actually the game could use alot more work and there are still nasty bugs (and code is a mess ), but sadly I can't spend more time on it. Exams are just too close

Hello and welcome to PGD! And also welcome to the PGD Challenge Mini Competition!

Thanks for taking part and especially for taking the time to make this wonderful post about your entry. I bet I know what game you are basing yours off of. It looks like one I used to play when I was a very young lad.

It's really encouraging to see so many great entries and threads posted for this mini competition.

Interesting visual look. I am curious how it will look in action.

That's a really cool style, it looks like it's realtime concept art heh. I'm interested to see how this plays

Glad you like the visual look. It's just OpenGL primitives without textures

I just removed 2 player mode, because I read that this will actually double my button count .
Before I thought of some kind of game console (like SNES) where each player has his own controller.
Of course 2 players could also play with just one controller, one using the D-Pad and the other using A,B,C and D buttons

What a great little game this is. The visual style is very appealing. And the music fits well, too. Like The Ancient Tower this would go well on the iPhone for example. It's just something you can play if you got some minutes to spare. Nicely done!

Nice! Great to hear it worked well on your computer.
Just in case somebody wants to try my game too, but hasn't grabbed it from the FTP in time: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22128389/MovingMaze.zip
