Hi guys!
I have a hard drive wich won't spin up (I suspect for seezed spindle motor). I sent this HDD to a HDD restoration company for analysis a few days ago. Today I got it back with a message that it works OK (all heads works, head movment mechanizem works, electronics works). But when I plug it into the computer it still won't spin up, computer doesn't recongizes it. I tried pluging it to four different computers same results. It is posible to hear head movement sometimes when powering up.
Acording to conversation with this restoration company they sad that if motor is realy dead or seezed they would need to do a plater swap to restore data wich would cost me more than 500€. That is way to much for me based on the nature off data that is on the HDD.
So I'm wandering if any off you have some idea of how I could restore the data from this HDD myself. I don't need 100% data restoration but bigger the better.
