Programmer's Art - the good, the bad and the f-ugly

I'm sure that we've all come across the problem of programmer art, where we all silently curse not paying more attention during the art lessons in school. What's your best and worst programmer's art (assuming you're will to show it off to the public ). Also, what do you do to alleviate the problem (anything?).

Here's the one I'm most fond of:

...and my darkest moment, where I forgot to replace the graphics before uploading the file (in my defense, this was about 5 years ago!):

    You beauty!

    [sarcasm]

The little blue critters are gorgeous. I honestly can't see what the problem is, I'd never have known that was programmer art if you hadn't told me. MMMMmmmm love that art

    [/sarcasm]

I'll see if I can dig out something for you to see

I kinda liked the graphics of the pacman game! I dug deep into my game-code, but all I could find was ripped stuff or stuff that didn't look like anything and the few things I have designed myself (the two proggies I did that with) don't look that bad, but how could they, every tile took me half an hour!
Do it by the book, but be the author!

A bit off topic, but yet, not really. A good place for the artistically handicapped to come up with some good IDEAS (dont just rip it off..or at least come up with your own when the game is finished) is http://www.deviantart.com/ .. They have a great **interface** section which gives me LOTS of ideas for making my own GUIs in my games. Not only that, but a lot of the art there is VERY inspiring and gives me a ton of ideas PERIOD.

    Give it a shot.
