hi guys!

I'm writing an isometric engine with delphix and I just found this very cool feature in the "IsoEngine": http://soft.firstproductions.com/isoengine/index.html

I think this feature is very useful and I would really like to have it in my engine, too :D

But, the problem is, I have no idea how..

I would say it's necessary to analyse the picture and to recognize the strucur to rebuild it a little different.

Any suggestions or examples how to do this?

thanx

What feature are you looking for?

oh, sorry. wrong link

I believe the tile is simply flipped horizontally and vertically.

hm, maybe you're right.
But there is one problem then. If I have a tile which ends on the right side as it begins on the left (so I can place one tile next to another with the same texture without being visible that there isn't one big tile (I hope you understand this kinda strange explanation  )) and I flip that picture this "trick" doesn't work anymore.

Maybe I'm thinking too complicated here.... :?

It can only be flipped like Harray said; the shown tile doesn't look out of place just because it doesn't contain high contrast details.

Yeah, make sure your tiles are seemless on all edges. Also, use the Highpass filter (most image editing programs have it) to make the tiles look less repetitive.

Well, I actually did..

ok, I think I will integrate a small feature to flip tiles in my engine, that will do it.
Thanx for your help, guys.
