From the few I've seen so far, looks like everyone's put a lot of work into their games. I'll definantly be in the next comp :D .

I thought it was over? And someone just uploaded his entry, so is that still valid?

something happened within the night meaning some people couldnt upload their entry (they got an error message)

A closing thread has been set up @
http://www.pascalgamedevelopment.com/viewtopic.php?t=2034
Please use that thread for comments about the entries.

As tux has mentioned there were some people who tried to upload last night, but since the upload script was broken, they could not do so. I am only aware of one other entry that should be given the benefit of the doubt to upload, but tux has this under control.

I think we should be a little elastic with the deadline. It's not a problem for me if someone puts his entry half a day or a day later.. also given the problems with the script..
If there are entries in doubt of being in the deadline, i'm for taking them in :P
For my point of view, the more entry, the better :D

ive now turned off uploads to the script, there is still 1 more entry what couldnt be uploaded because the script broke

For those that want to try TankBusters without having it crash on startup in OpenGL mode and without some of the other annoying bugs, We have created a patch that fixes a few annoying bugs with the game:

http://dgdev.qano.net/TanksPatchP1.rar

This patch should fix:
- Crash on startup in OpenGL mode.
- Flower Path in Single Player mode.
- Weird scrolling problems in Network mode.
- Tank speed is increased. (we turned it back for testing and we forgot to speed them up again).

To install the patch simply unpack the files to your TankBusters folder... :)

It also seems the feature to make the turret rotate to your mouse cursor has been left out of the manual. To use it simply keep the right mouse button pressed to make the turret rotate towards the mouse and stop until it faces the mouse cursor. This feature is not available since it would be unfair to the 2nd player who doesn't have a mouse! :)

Have fun! 8)

P.S. This patch doesn't add any new features to the game it simply fixes some annoying bugs.

Hi All,
A Competition page has finally been set up @ http://www.pascalgamedevelopment.com/competitions/PGDCompetition2005.html

This page currently lists all the entries in alphabetical order.

When the winners are announced I will change the page to be in order of ranking.

If you would like your game screen-shot image changed or have a download link with the latest version of your game or would like to tell me what components/tools you used while making your game, please let me know in the next couple of days so that I can update the page with the latest and greatest information. This is the link we will be giving to websites like flipcode.com and gamedev.net once the winners are announced. So the more up to date it is the better it is for all concerned.
