Hello,

I am currently working on an online MMORPG game called Age Of The Ancients. It is a 2d game. The fighting system will be a turn based FFT style and item system will be much like Diablo 2.

I am the Head Programmer of the game and so far we are doing very good. We need more staff and are looking for GFX, SFX, and maybe programmers. We are currently NOT looking for level makers.

Please sign up on our forums and check us out. If you like us getting the word out about the game would be nice too.

8) Im sure it will be big. As long as you can keep a handle on your community unlike graal. It's community was the downfall of that game.

Liquid? What a strange place to see you. Is AoTA is Delphi as well?

I know it's hard to vote for a game you have not seen. I might release a single player demo of the game in a week or two, as soon as we get most of these bugs fixed. I want to have a 'fight-less' beta test of the server in a couple of weeks to work out some more bugs. Currently the lag could be better but other then that there is only like one or two major bugs. But the main thing is that I am converting from a local encrypted database to work with MYSQL. This will make it faster to access data and also will allow me to make some PHP scripts for account creation, account management, etc...

So keep checking back on us for updates.

btw Steve, thanx for posting about us on the Turbo page ^_-

Bobby, Graal was cool, the downfall was the lack of community.. Though there were some smaller communities, which extended the life of the game for me... Graal has lost thousands of players now, including me, because you now HAVE to pay.. LiquidIce, you sound familiar, but anyway, dont make me have to pay for it.. And when will downloads be back up?

Yes I was creator of UN.

The game will be pay one day, but it will be pay to the point where if a person does not pay they are still able to play the game. Maybe the person who pays will be able to choose more classes and gain better things.

The downloads should be up in a week. Maybe a beta release then as well =)

For the ammount of work that goes into a MMORPG, i dont see why you shouldnt have some sort of payment system. It makes it worth while to stick with it, and make new addons and such :) If your doing it for free, you can get fed up with your community pretty fast, and have no reason to go on.
