How pissed would Borland and Microsoft get if FPC started supporting .NET? :)

I mean, there is already 1 alternative to using .NET called Chrome. And it uses 2.0 not just the 1.1 model either. So in theory it's a wee bit more .NET capable than Delphi 2005 is. Mind you Microsoft is probably loving Chrome, simply because it in a way helps promote Visual Studio. I just love it because it promotes Object Pascal! :D

So how much pain sacarafic and blood would it take to add .NET support to FPC? I wonder...

Can I dare to dream? ;)

FPC team do not currently plan ant .NET code generator for compiler.
And why? FPC is already cross-platform (way-way larger than .NET) and so it will not be able to fully use .NET unified type system, so the only feature FPC could gain is the garbage collector...
