So has anyone laid bets as to who will win the next round of CONSOLE WARS? At the moment I hear that Sony has 43% of the console market MS has ~20% and Nintondo about ~15%.
So place your bets now as to who you think will own the market by Xmas 2008. By then it should all be done and dusted.

My pick is PS3, what's yours?

xbox 360 is released before the ps3, so as long as it has the games to back it then i think the xbox will do pretty damned well :)

I read that the clips of video games did not came from the new xbox, but from apple machines.
MS claims that the technology does not work yet, and that the apple hardware will be replaced later.

MS will be releasing its console later this year, while all other new console are set for spring 2006. That could be a positive thing for MS.

But without backward compatability, which for Xbox is still up in the air, while for PS3 is confirmed, that restricts the number titles available to buy at launch of Xbox 360.

The games at E3 are apparently Apples....

Who would have thought that the next gen of XBox console will actually be developed on Apples instead of Win32 boxes.

Though from that press release I worry about the following statement...

The company also announced Xbox 360 will be backward-compatible with top-selling Xbox games.
So the non-top selling games won't work on the new XBox? How does that work?

x86 isnt there own work...

there using ibm power pcs (is it 3 or 4 of them?) and apple mac g5 for developing on, wich they most likely put there own type of os on

Microsoft was working with Apple as the the Macintosh was being developed. In fact. Microsoft had a hand in the first software for the first Mac. Plus There are versions of Office for Mac OS X.

I think that Microsoft fears Linux a bit more than Apple these days. ;)
