View Full Version : Let's Make a Game

Hi There,

For a living I do real time systems, which pickup stock exchange data, calculate these and send them to customers.

But I always wanted to use me skills for making a game, but never got around to it.

So if anybody out there, with some know-how on game development, want to work with a game rookie, just let me know.

I would like it to be some kind of multiplayer game, simple but yet fun.

So what do you say?

2d games are quite simple to make (though many people say that games are hard to make). I made my first game in QBasic :D . It also depends what type of game you want to make.. You should do something simple first (to get the hang of things)..

You should check out http://www.gamedev.net/ as well.

And Ali has some tutorials on its website (tile and iso tile).

Bear in mind that my tiles tutorial ain't up to the required standard :(. I'm rewriting it at the moment and there will be a much better one popping out at the end. It should be done by the end of the week, assuming that I can find the time.

Btw, I tried sending you a private message, TheGott, just as DGDev blew up for the umpteenth time. I'm not sure if it's got to you yet.
