Most of you are aware of the Independent Games Festival ('http://www.igf.com'), an annual event that aims at driving innovations in game developement (innovations, that's the thing about 99% of all commercial games are missing, just in case you didn't know ;) ) and giving indie game developers the attention they should deserve.

And this year again seems to be a very good year for the IGF and the independent game developement in general, as the list of entrants ('http://www.igf.com/2006entrants.shtmltarget=') for the IGF 2006 shows. There are [b:PGDN]118 entries[/b:PGDN] and some of them look very good. I haven't had the time to browse through all of them, and some of them I already knew (like ''Gang War'', which is using the Newton Game Dynamics Engine, or ''Morning's wrath'', which was started over at gamedev.net). But if you have some time to spent and want to see what the indie game developement scene is capable off, just browse through the entries and see that games don't need to cost millions of dollars.

P.S. : If you spot a game that's written in Delphi/Pascal, drop a line here. And if not, maybe next year some of us will contribute a Delphi/Pascal entry to the IGF?
