The german Delphi OpenGL Community ('http://www.delphigl.com') released Version 2005.2 of their OpenGL/SDL-SDK for Linux.

After an earlier version has been released internally for testing, this is the first public release and it's primary written for users of Fedora Core and Ubuntu but will also work for other Linux distributions.

One of the highlights is an automatic installer (which should at least work for the above mentioned distros) which installs everything that is needed and also sets up the correct paths in FPC. Included are many SDL demos (even some that use GLSL shaders) and tutorial demos, which use the easySDL-template. This template is included to make writing demos and small apps easier.

The current DGL-Linux SDK can be downloaded here ('http://files.delphigl.com/Download/dglsdk_linux_2005.2.tar.bz2') (1.2 MBytes).

Note : Since this is the first public release of that Linux SDK, especially users of other distros than the ones mentioned in this news are called to give feedback. So if you use this SDK and want to give some feedback, just drop by to the forums of the DGL ('http://www.delphigl.com/forum/index.php').
