Not related to pascal development, but interesting however IMHO...

Gbawins.com (http://www.gbawins.com) is going to run a development compo! It'll be the first WinDS development compo, a compo for WinDS software only! If you plan to win a nice prize by coding, start learning the winsapi as soon as possible and you'll be ready in time to build your WinDS great app (or game)!

The compo is sponsored by NeoFlash, and they guaranteed us some cool prizes for the winners! The compo has been made possible thanks to NeoFlash, Lira Nuna (who worked hard on WinDS Devkit) and Francesco Lombardi (who made the WinDS Form Designer).

So what are you waiting for? Run to the forums and start searching for the compo rules (I'll put a beta asap), WinDS documentation and devkit and get ready to WinDS-code!

WinDS is a C++ API that allows to easily develop window-style apps for GBA and Nintendo DS. This compo has been organized by Francesco Napolitano (the guy that made GBA WinS), Liran Nuna (the guy that ported GBA WinS to DS) and me. In a couple of days we will release the official rules.

So, no much interest in this stuff, but if someone is interested, we have updated rules, prizes and time :D. The official WinDS devKit (http://liranuna.drunkencoders.com/WinS/WinDS_devKit_1.0_Installer.exe) is also available for download.

We expect to start the compo for the first half of november and we have obtained some nice prizes too:

- 1st place will get a MagicKey3 512Kb + 128MB SD card
- 2nd place will get a MagicKey3 256Kb + 128MB SD card
- 3rd place will get a MagicKey2 + 128MB SD card

All prizes are kindly offered by NeoFlash Team (http://www.neoflash.com)

You can read the rules here (http://s3.invisionfree.com/GBAWinS/index.php?showtopic=282)

So I guess we may have some GBA/DS rom demos with Pascal source to look forward too in the near future? ;)

A bit off-topic (for this off-topic topic):

Oh btw, GBA support got dropped from the 2.0 CVS to the 2.0.2 source files so you'll most likely have to do another update of our mod package Just this time don't forget to add my name to the credits too. ;)

I mentioned this to DaniA¬´l Mantione, but he said that he doesn't know what happened, but that we should email or contact them with the source. There was some other information about the versions, but I cannot recall atthis time. Best to either hang out in #fpc on irc.freenode.org or try to email Florian and the others. If one guy can't help you, another will, I'm sure. They can't all not know or want to be involved. :?

Urgh!!! I'm so sorry for credits  No intention to cut off your work in FPC4GBA (as you can see, because fpc4gba official site is in the credits). I'll restore it asap :)

BTW, I have PMed you some times ago about release 2 (you should update official site with recent changes). About freepascal crew, I have added our step-by-step guide to wiki (as FPK asked), but - sadly - no one seems interested to help us :(

As you suggest, I'll try to send last package sources to someone in the crew
