Ian Munro ('ian.munro at grosvenortechnology dot com'), recently reminded me of the Retro Game Competition ('http://www.retroremakes.com/')
<blockquote>

In case anyone is interested, there is a game writing competition on the
Retro Remakes website http://www.retroremakes.com/ ('http://www.retroremakes.com/'). You have three weeks
left to produce a remake of an old game or one inspired by an old game.

I'm giving it ago using Delphi 7 with SDL and BASS for the graphics and
sound. Anyone else entering ? I'm going to keep a development diary (if
I get time) and release the source at the end of the project. My site is

I know that last year there were quite a few Delphi/Pascal entries.

:( :( :(

It would be nice if they would accept games for not uk residents, but
out of challenge, i dunno how to translate correctly, i mean that people
from outside uk can post a game anyway and be classified in a different
category with no prize. That could involve more people to post something.

Just an idea ;) (from a non uk residend :P )

There is something like that on their forums. No prizes but the entries will be judged.
