Besides JediSDL, and GLScene, I was wondering if theres any 3D engines that support Lazarus or Freepascal.

Clootie's DX9 headers support DX to my knowledge.

Sounds pretty cool however, I need something that will load a 3D model in a few command lines or something like that.

There was a 3D engine with source posted here recently called LEAF.

Yep, if you want to program real fast it may be the best solution to learn DX api. (see msdn)

Clootie's headers are excellent, I use them all the time.

What about *real* engines written for Delphi/Freepascal, NOT in the form of Components.. Just plain pas units to use in a project..

I need something like this to develop a racing videogame..

One ( if not the best ) examples of a FreePascal 3D engine is called the Linderdaum 3D Engine. You can read more about it on this thread - http://www.pascalgamedevelopment.com/viewtopic.php?t=1301

Which of these would you recommend for a beginner? I have several versions of Delphi, but I'd like what I do to work on a Mac as well so I'm leaning towards using Free Pascal only and avoide DirectX for now (perhaps I can look at Windows only stuff in Delphi at a later time, but I'm already reaching information overload...). I've been to the websites and just read stuff there, but haven't downloaded any of the things here to actually try yet.

Thank you,
Ron
