Hi all!
Take a look.. maybe someone want to port it to any mobile device...

Game written in delphi 2006 for contest. Developing time - is about three weeks (at evening... about 1 hour every day).

Game van be taken from here (with full sorcecodes):

It's about 600Kb.

Tools: Delphi2006, WinAPI, DirectDraw, DirectSound, DirectInput. No DelphiX, pure API. Basic Core engine written to draw graphics and play sounds..

I'm waiting your posts :D

Cool little platformer. I like the way his shoulders move when he runs, though it should probably be less exagerated.

I'm sure it could be ported to MIDletPascal.

I remember this game from a couple years back. Quite a lot of fun.

I found little points to comment on. The whole thing plays as well as the origional. Mayby it would be a bit better if his feet wouldn't stick so far into the ground, but that's really nitpicking.

One odd thing I noticed, when I got at the part with the hand. On my first encounter I died quite fast, but due to my own fault. The second time however, as soon as I entered the 'arena' the hand fell off the screen and I found myself stuck in there.

Otherwise its pretty cool!

To which contest are you reffering, btw?

Not for PDG, this contest is over. It's not professional contests, just delphi game developers have fun with coding games like that.

btw, "Scroller Alive" and "More Then Madness" also from this contest :)

about bug with hand.. hmm I will fix it. tnx

Yeah, that's a turrican remake :D with original sound and graphics

It is wonderful!
I think you've only (if you are going to continue it) to check the
smoothness of the sprite and scrolling. I dunno but the old turrican
gave me a "softer" feeling and a little heavyer sprite.

I've still my Amiga 500+ in my room and i played it with yours, the job
is really impressive but can be improoved :)

I must say I won't be able to reach a result like yours anyway, good good
good!

I don't have amiga 500+ anymore about ten years :D
But still rememer this cool game. I always have WinUAE, but even at my powerful computer game goes slowly and not really soft.

I can try to improve this "game" with some new features (like new enemies, weapons, bonus block, flamethrower) and other original turrican features, but i have very few graphics. More of it - screenshots rip. I made screenshots and then cut sprites with photoshop.

It's not quite difficult, but took so much time to make just one sprite.
Also i have some problems with making of levels. I'm not level designer at all, and actuaaly i don't have such comfortable editor as vell.

So if someone can help me... i will take your help.

The gfx could be improved. As a test I ran the bmps in the install folder through a program that can be found on www.hiend3d.com

The movement and jumping needs work. I find that I hit "invisible" blocks and so find jumping around difficult.

Personally, I prefer the retro style.

Quite an interesting program though

You might want to look at this page, it has all about turrican, even
level screenshots you can use and copy :)

Also it has clones, soundtraks and so on! Have a look, maybe it helps!
