Just wondering if anyone is going to E3 in the States? Maybe they can tell us all the late breaking news. Obviously consoles and their games are making all the headlines, but there are a few PC games I'm looking forward to this year.

Titan Quest - http://www.titanquestgame.com
Spore - http://www.spore.com/

are the 2 that come to mind right now. What PC games are you all waiting for?

1. Tanx - final release *hehe*
2. World of Warcraft Addon
3. Don't know. I didn't play any game besides WoW since February 2005! ^^

I'm only awaiting one game. SPORE! I'm awaiting it with baited breath, as I love all the categories and genra's its covering. Hopefully its as good as the previews and movies we've seen about it thus far.

If you like that, I stumbled across another game which seems very similar called Gods and Heroes : Rome Rising ( http://www.godsandheroes.com/ ) which has some very nice videos in the media section of their site, but there are some better ones over @ Game Trailers ( http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?type=mov&id=10382 and http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?type=mov&id=10381 ).

Now that I got Oblivion I am not waiting for a game.

Maybe Halflife 2 Addon or Gothic 3, but not really so important.

First I hoped for Stalker but now I got tired of waiting for that.

Let's see what games come up next.

I hope there will be a few good Linux indy games, with original innovative game play and good design.

Ok, I've just saw a couple of Spore demo videos...

I'm SO getting this game next year when it comes out. :D

It's kind of funny, but it's sort of how I'd like Civ-type game to be like. Plus a whole ton of features that are just too darn cool. Makes Black & White seem a tad short handed as far as replay goes.

I think the next step though would be to make Spore 2 both multi-player capable aswell as enhance the behavioural aspects of this genre. Needless to say though, it has a ton of value before that will be requirement though. This is a giant leap in gaming in it's self.

Im still wating on UT2007 and cell factor (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2514432766513765461&q=cell+factor)
(Yes, you need a PhisyX card for cell factor :P )

Will, I don't think you'll have to wait for spore 2 for multiplayer - I think it's built in to this one. I remember watching some presentation video on it, and they talked about how every creature in the world and the world itself is shaped by other players.

It'd be neat to play a game like that 'co-op', where a bunch of people are evolving their own organisms in the same environment, so you'd have evolve to compete with each other. Talk about 'intelligent design' creationism!

If the UT2007 load times are a long as UT2005 I may pass on that one. :? I tried a copy out for a while and, oh man. IT was painful to play between matches. Ran great when the maps finally loaded though. Just waaaay too long load times (like almost 10 minutes for some matches)

As for multiplayer in Spore. I saw that feature too. I watched a Spore video with Will White himself and in it he mentioned the same thing, that it will download creatures from other players online, but he also said that they are not actively controled. Meanning that you cannot play against each other or interact player-to-player, just share in each other's 'content' as they call it. I think that was my only disappointment, but it was a wee small one compaired. :)

Speaking of which, has anyone played the PC version of Fable? Whats the replay value like on it? Do you eventually end up playing Grampa's Adventure Quests to the store to get some tea and whatever that stuff is that makes them smell like mothballs?

I've been hanging out for UT07 since 2004, not only for the game, but mostly just the release of the engine. And there's a ton of new games using it. I read somewhere that the next GTA will use the UT07 engine .

I don't think any official min specs have been released, but last I saw it was about a:
2.8GHz - 512mb Ram - Geforce6 (ATI anyone?)

A card with shader support will most likely be the bare minimum. The renderer uses Shader-3.0, and I think 2.0 support aswell. I've heard rumors that a PPU card is required just to start the thing, but I doubt it.

Too heafty for my mini-beast. ;)

I hope Spore will not be as high up there... I might have to get a whole new machine just for it. :P

I'm actually looking around for whats new these days...

It's been a while since I've taken a serious look at whats current.

Not since somewhere between Warcraft III and B&W and Neverwinter Night and UT2005.

Oh and I have an ATI too! Wanted nVidia, but didn't have anything in my budget with one. :P
