I got as a birthday present an "Cowon iAudio X5" which is great, but i have the option to upgrade to "Cowon A2" which has some nice very advantages over the X5 but the downside is the size and weight..

If you could have chosen one of the above which one would it be, and why?

Umm... Well not knowing what either are and only the 'Audio' in the name of it to go on, I can only tell that it has to do with audio. :) So umm... I don't know. :lol:

More info or a link to some technical data. ;)

Dang, hard choice. I'd go with the A2 personally. ;)

Ok, correct me if im wrong, but I think the major differences between A2 vs X5 are:
:arrow: Definite better GUI
:arrow: (Probably) better UI (I don’t like X5 UI), do to the above.
:arrow: Video capability (X5 capability is negligible compared to A2 ), huge screen area.
:arrow: Easier to read text (do to the above).
:arrow: Assumption of same audio quality.

:arrow: Now the cost is the size and the weight (+100 US$)..
133.0 x 78.0 x 22.0 mm weighing 298g
103.7 x 60.8 x 14.3 mm weighing 145g (<= normal person pocket size! :) )

as I believe more then 90% of the use will be audio, does the extra features and UI worth it?

..maybe I’ll just sell it and buy a fridge.. :?

:lol:

I went with the X5 after all, as neat the A2 is its not as comfortable to carry.

now.. how do I close a thread... :think:
