Last month we decided to create a game within 24 hour. Today we gonna make that!

its now 11:11 AM (GMT+1)

We currently starting with deciding what we gonna make...

Credits to Jens "Zhooibaal" for the idea
Frank "Mad Woody" and myself (Michiel) do the programming work in Delphi.

heh yeah lunch-time, diner-time and break-time are the times I make my most creative work!
Very soon I’ll get to the level of only having break-times, imagine all the work I’ll be able to achieve. :D

And good luck with your project! Don’t forget to show us screen shots of the progress :wink:

progress so far: I'm currently building an animation studio for our fighting game, Mad Woody is building the engine and Zhooibaal is creating textures (pictures)

5:40 PM - I almost finished the animation studio with creates images with a mask. This is used for transparacy in the models.

For the we have a scrolling background so far :) . We currently working on the fighters and animation.

We also have a lego man as fighter to test :) , this will be some kind of boss. the rest of the fighters would be .... us :P

Looking good guys, I hope you hit your deadline and come out with a finished product :).

Feature creep time:
Make it so that you have to beat the lego man apart to defeat him. First an arm flys off, then the other arm, a leg, other leg, finishing move takes his head off.

Make it so that you can upload a picture of yourself into the game, that way we can all have our own characters for playing :)

Give it IP play, then all the pascal-heads here can fight it out in game to see who is the best.

Ok, I'll quit making suggestions. Seariously, looks cool, and can't wait to play it.

7:01 AM - still alive...

We have almost the healthbar working. Currenly we are working on a avatar next to the healthbar.

Also we have almost 3 fighters :)

Tha game plays kind af crappy... but who cares... it only matters we finish if before 11:11 AM!

The graphics show a grid, but thats not too annoying.

I took a couple mins off my boss' time to play your game.
Unfortunately it didn't run too well. It was dreadfully slow, animations were going at like <1 fps. I blame my pc for a good portion of it as it has a terrible gfx card I also understand there must have been little time to optimize things.

There didn't seem to be a collision response either. After hitting one of the 'retards' it didn't seem to affect the lifebar. Again, this might be due to my pc. The grid, Dirk mentions, can be corrected by resizing the screen a bit.

Anyhow, none of this really matters. I can see from the images that you've all had a good time making this game. I can only :clap: and say, great job :thumbup:

It does not run for me..

Double click Game.exe and it appears in taskbar briefly and then dissappears again.

Windows XP, Nvidia 7800, Hyperthreaded CPU. Never problems with other stuff. Running from d:\drive sub directory

As I said, Feature Creep, its what kills you. Congrats on the game completed, and great job overall.

Game play is interesting on a slow machine with a crappy graphics card, but it is playable. On my faster PC with a true card in it game play is quite fun. I love the blood splatter :).

WE WANT VERSION 2.0 BY TOMORROW MORNING!!!!
(After all, you gave us v1.0 in 24 hours :))

Good job guys, I see you had fun. ;)

I was able to hit the baddies without any issues and see pixelated blood splat around, and the lifebar decrease.

But I didn't notice any jump kicks, which are favorite moves of mine. :D

we allmost hada a combo system, than we could make jump-kicks... We have the animation for them :P
