Yep, Francesco Lombardi is still at it! This time he has released a game called Tetriz which is obviously a clone. :P

This would mark the milestone of first game created for the GameBoy Advance under the Free Pascal compiler. Or under any Pascal compiler for that matter.

The game is simple in functionality and is only a work in progress, but it is indeed the first step in opening the floodgates to homebrew games created with the compiler.

There is still future development planned for the GBA platform however. Since the GBA and the Nintendo DS share the same ARM processor family research is being done to add an NDS target to the compiler. This would allow for other Independant development oppertunities such as that of commercial game development under a Nintendo licence.

GBA support for the Free Pascal compiler was originally started in a group initiative project called GBA 4 FPC (http://fpc4gba.pascalgamedevelopment.com/).
