Hi dear community.
I want to share my current game project and need some feedback. The idea is as simple as it sounds: A combination of AgeOfEmpires and FirstPerson Shooter.
So you are controlling the king of your village and command every villager, fighter, archer... what to do. The thing to only play it in First Person brings new challenging situations like
taking a look over town walls to see if there are enemies around. Or searching the map for enemy cities.
All the maps are completely random generated.
The game is playable, it has a good multi-unit-pathfinding system and a nice AI that will beat the SH*T out of you if you don't act quick!
Working on multiplayer LAN mode.
Have a look on the gameplay video:

Looks pretty interesting idea.
I just hope you prepared to work hard on AI. And no I don't mean your opponent AI but the AI for your own units. Why? Because it would have to be so good that your units would be almost autonomous other vise the game would simply be to difficult and frustrating.

Thank you
Did I forget to mention that you can select between 4 different settings: Summer, Winter, Desert and Epic Forest.
I think it's time for you to test and tell me what to change/add/remove.
You will find the game HERE (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5t9zi28tv8gojdr/Crushdoms.zip?dl=1) (about 26 MB)
Have fun playing!

It looks awesome.
Do you plan to make a Linux version? Or does it work on Wine? I can test it on Xubuntu.

I tired it and it runs very smooth, good feeling.
Anyway, some ideas on improvements:
* don't make the game completly shut down on ESC press, because ESC is intuitively the first idea for leaving the menues
* if you chose a villager and command it to a destination (esp. if far away) with a resource (like gold), maybe there could be a sound indicating that you really hit the resource (and not accidently a tile next to the resource) - maybe the vills should talk as in the original game :-)
* it seems that buildings (esp. TC) is blocking the selection (e.g. of villager) although you can see the vill; Same goes for selection of destinations behind buildings
* "a nice AI that will beat the SH*T out of you if you don't act quick!" I got it ;D
* you should really introduce the bell for the TC, so there is a basic protection which even the AI could use to prevent itself from being destroyed immediately
Really appreciated the game and look forward to test out some improved versions.
Do you plan to shift the game to GitHub?
