I quite fance the idea of speeding up the rendering of GUNS Reloaded with OpenGL.. I'm not sure how much of a performance gain I'll get as I actively modify surfaces on the fly, but certainly Particles and Explodey bits will look nicer.
Anyone got any experience of using it?

I dont know anything about glSDL but my own SDL wrappers (S2DL) use openGL through the SDL layer.
