I added a preview external sites script to the site. So sites like http://www.snap.com/ have a speech-bubble next to them and then you can mouse over the bubble to see what the site looks like before visiting them. As Athena says you "can make an informed decision as to whether you want to visit the link".

NOTE : you will need to enable pop ups for just PGD if you want to see them.

it's not an annoying advertisement, doesn't get in the way, so it's ok to me :)

There's something funky going on with the images. They aren't visible in FireFox. It makes for a nice adittion to the site though!

I'm using FF and they are visible to me. Or are we talking about different images here?

PS remember the speech-bubble icon only appears for external sites.

Hhmm, that's odd. This is what I have now:

It does appear to be working in Internet Explorer.

Do you use the latest edition of FireFox?
It works fine on my computer with FF and is pretty cool. I've already recommended it to an other forum that I'm a member of.

Very odd Traveler. From you screen shot it looks like you have issues with all images coming from www.Snap.com. Is it on a blocked list or similar?

Not that I know of.
And I'm using the latest version of FF, so I dont think that's it either.

works fine here too:)

That thing is really fast. It has a snapshot ready in a matter of 0.1 seconds. How did they do that?? :P

Well, when I tried to take a look at the snapshot of my blog it said that it was in a queue, and that I should try again later.

I guess they save a snapshot of an homepage whenever it's requested. Next time someone want's that snapshot it's just a matter of loading the image, which is a question about bandwidth.

it works nice whit FF 2.0.0.2 :)
I voted yes, but I don't really care... If I wanted to visit the link, I just click them.

There's a disable option at the top right, where after clicking on it, you're able to select if you want to disable the feature for just PGD or on all sites.

Do you enable cookies? This is how I'd guess that it determines if you actually want them to popup or not.
