Great news. :)

I think I tried this game once a few years back... can't remember if I had got it working on my old system though.

If you edit and put a nice 320x240 sized screenshot on the top of your post I'll make this a news item. ;)

WILL:
yeah i remember that :)
Don't worry, the new exe generated is slightly modified regarding the old release, i think it "should" don't have any problem :?
It's regularly updated with the cvs of glscene and so on hehe.
i've put a pic ;P

tanffn:
ya, it had never really been freezed because even if i hadn't coded it, i worked on the docs (ok i know it dont make the game progress in it's development but.. but... )
No problem for the demo, just few things to fix and i put a basic release, i go more step by step with this new version, it's more realistic for a single dev, but the goals are the same as before ;)

Looks freaking neat!

The first short with the gauges on reminded me of the great game "Stars!". There wouldn't happen to be any relation? :D

JSoftware:
1st thanks 8)

the story is long, since i have my first 8 bits (21 years ago  ) i wanted to do a space management/strategy. I have an heavy experience in tabletop strategy/reflection games, wargames and rpg, and my first game was with paper and dices but it was already too complicated to be managed by paper rules (sure i was far far behind FARC concept but it's the story). The first computer appearance was on amiga developped with blitz basic, i don't remember what was the name of it, but anyway he never passed the stage of the game itself, only an intro screen   in same time i'd started out with 3d domain (caligary was the 1st software i used, the now known as truespace).

For The inspiration comment i'd gone through over several game and project for look how they dev their ui and stars! is of course one of them. I didnt directly taken that because i would something practical to show important data to the user in a easy manner. in a way why reinvent the wheel  and after all even with tech inspiration each game is not really the same for this kind of game (i dont talk about fps/rts haha   )

games i know are: ascendancy (played), stars! (played), masters of orion II (played), masters of orion III, galactic civilization II(played), free orion, civ alpha centaury (played), fatal universe, mars simulation project (played), outpost (played), space empire, space rangers, space civilization, starflight ( :P ), stars! supernova genesis (RIP), starships unlimited, supremacy (played on amiga), swords of the stars, thousand parsec, time of defiance, VGAplanets, solar wars, imperium (on atari st, a very good one)

and the one which have made all: elite  (ok its not a strategy game but but but) i forget several others but that the list, and i dont include all the tabletop ones

Can someone put this game into the "Games made by Pascal" gamelist on GGE? :-) it's in the main list of games at the moment

there's a new screenshot from august 14, small interface progress and big game data progress hehe ;) It's the OODI (Orbital Object Data Interface) that shows surface and currently selected region data and terrain picture (when you pass the mouse over the map). Mars map is only for testing, each telluric planet will have it's proper surface picture (thanks to fractal terrains ;)

I'd put link for not load the thread sorry

Another update, shortly some interface update, a lot of data update (equipment modules and spacecraft's designs), owned spacecraft savegame, minor ui tweak, and (hopefully) a font fix for Vista.

next in dev: end game turn basic sequence, a basic SPAD (spacecraft designer), infrastructures data, population and population simulation model, other some ui updates.

And here the screenshot (with the owned space vessels list, pretty empty for now), I'd put link for not load the thread sorry
