It's finished. Its actually more a demo that a game as it is very hard to hit anything... :cry: :cry:

But here it goes:

Hey sup?

So it's been a while since you heard from us and its again time to make a new game in the uber-series.

The story this time is that we go to a demo/programmers' lan party (outline - http://outline.scene.nl) where we make a game within 4 days... So this time it would have some more quality than the previous uber-serie games :).

As you expect from us: we don't have a clue what too make. We gonna fight about that on outline :).

Wish us luck. We keep a development diary for the 4 days on outline so you can follow our progress.

Some additional information:
We start on may 1st when outline starts and we set up our dev pc's
We end on may 4rd when outline ends
Dev team: Me (NecroDOME) and Mad Woody and maybe some additional input from Zhooibaal.
Our guess is that we use Necro3D Game Engine. This engine has proven its use in SCAG, Uber Zombie and Uber Chess.

There are also some compo's so I think we join them :)

i already have hosted 4 lan party, and it was a HUGE FUN,

but a programming lan party with a planed project should be much better 8) , its a shame that i don't have any friends that know how to program

A team doesn't have to exists on programmers. Having designers and sound artists is also a good start of a project.

I heard that there's a chance we do not have access to internet on outline. If this is true you all have to wait until Sunday to see out project.

I like the graphics! Looks like Tron meets Top-Gun :D

But how do you move the plane forward?? You should tell the user which are the keys. I tried the mouse buttons, the keyboard and no luck. :?

o, im sorry, I did't include a readme... Forward would be the 'W'.

Here's a list:

Accelerate: 'W'
Rudder control: 'A' and 'D'
Roll: Left and Right
Pitch: Up and Down
Fire: Space

I entered a compo with Atari freaks... so we came out 3rd out of 4. We where the only team that made a PC game, the rest was Atari... Anyways we had a lot of fun creating it!!

No doubts! :D Well, I really like your screenies. :) It's awesome you were able to patch it together in four days' time! Awesome, big respect, man.

Actually we did it in 2 days :) (that includes sleeping and having some fun time)

We didn't create it all from scratch. We used our old PGD compo entry for multiplexity. http://www.pascalgamedevelopment.com/viewtopic.php?t=4132&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
However we did a lot of programming to get to this point.
The only things that where untouched are the controls and physics.

Things that where added:
Sounds (2, but we have sound :D)
Music (2 sounds tracks)
AI, not optimal, but they follow you and try to hit you
Weapons (currently 1, we spend also some time on homing rockets, but they didn't made it to the deadline)
Hit particles
Menu
A whole new level
Level borders, when you go out you just explode... (bad thing actually)
New graphics for the plane
A new plane that didn't make it into the game also... maybe next time...

Looking good. That's allot of bloom and additive blending :razz:

But i found it hard to control my plane. Gameplay is still something you can work on. :)

Wow, nice work guys. Love the TRON/Darwinia-world like environment. :) And it's great to see that your 2007 PGD Annual nominated source got some afterlife usage as well. ;)

Hope to see how it turns out in the end.

i loved the colors of the game :clap:

all textures are already there colors or you use some kind of runtime effect?

It was really fun there. Actually I think we made it in 1,5 days. Especially because there where some live acts we watched. I programmed till 6:30 AM with some Germans that were playing some children song for 4 hours long. I was really paranoid when I went to bed :P I think 3rd place isn't bad in a place with alot of Atari junks :)
