Greetings,

BigFish Games has just released Drawn : The Painted Tower (http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/6098/drawn-the-painted-tower/index.html), a new adventure casual game.

I thought it would be cool to mention, since this game is fully coded in Codegear Delphi 2007. The Mac version should come soon, compiled with FreePascal.

Have a look, it's really a cool game !

Regards,
Momor

Momor! :) Hey nice to see you around. Now I see why you haven't made an entry into the PGD Annual this year. ;)

Wow, didn't I see a big-ass banner for this game on Big Fish last time I was on it...? Looks really good from what I can see. You can count on a Game Review in the next Pascal Gamer Magazine Issue. (Have you read the first issue yet? www.PascalGamer.com)

Hi Momor!

Have you any idea of what engine it is using?

Yeah Will I was a bit busy in the last few months ... The graphics engine is purely custom, based on my past work - but it's plain DX9 and OpenGL (for the Mac). Sound is handled using plain SLD_Mixer.

Due to the big team, I've built a dedicated level editor. I'd be happy to give a few more details if you need !

Cya,
Momor.

That sure is some mighty work you've got there Mormor. I've checked a couple reviews and in general they're most positive. I'm looking forward to see any articles about this game in the next magazine, that is if you have some time for that :)

That said, I have to ask about Big Fish Games. I'm kind of fuzzy about their role in this endeavor. Everywhere I look, in forums or reviews, whatever, BFG gets all the credit. In fact they are even mentioned as the creators! I know that as the developer you are not allowed to add any links or even hint to your website if you want to do business with them, but this is new to me. Thanks for any info you can give about this...

Hi Momor! Thanks for the info! Very impressive visuals and very polished game! Congratulations!

There is a lack of Pascal multiplataform game engines!

Do you think in release the Engine commercially in future?

Really great work and nice game.
I bought it and played it through within a day.
But I think the ending was kind of short.

New Drawn (Dark Flight) is out. Just wondering does anyone know if it is also made in Delphi?

I can't be 100% sure, but I'm almost certain, say 99.99% sure that it would be. A team usually doesn't completely rewrite a game engine unless they want to drastically do something new with a series like that. Or that they got stuck with the old one.

I liked the first game, I would be cool if they made a whole series.
