Hi people! I'm join Pascal Game Development because i want to start to make a game with the theme of the Anime "ONE PIECE".

My idea is to create a 3D game that mixes RPG and Hack and slash style!

Oh well, from what you said, it's hard to deduce whether you had any previous experience with Pascal or not. Making a game is not an easy task. It's said that it's the most difficult task next to writing an operating system. That's why it requires specialistic knowledge and experience in programming. Also, don't expect that anyone will write you something. During the advanture you'll have to draw on your resources.

Feeling demotivated? I didn't mean it, by any means! Programming a game is a great thing to do, and every programmer should try it once, if you ask me. :) Anyway, I like the idea and hope you can gather some people who will help you with the project.

As for the engine - I'd suggest using GLScene for a starter. It's easy-in-use, VCL-based, and supports lots of useful stuff needed for a beginner.

Sorry! I program in Pascal, more precisely Delphi at 8 years! :D
My first game is ArkX in VB! A simple costumisable version of Arkanoid, with you can create a level for the game yourself with an editor! ;D This Game is played in my school during classes!!!Big addictive Game!! But i lost my source!!! :'(

My second, is a 2d RPG in Delphi with a proper story :P On of my Projects of Final Course!!!!

GLScene is a good option and one of the my chooses!
Other is jedi-sdl which i create a sample of this game in 2d! :-[

Im a autodidact! I learn very fast! I programm in PHP,Delphi,VB,Assembly,Basic,PASCAL:D,
and many others!

VB,Assembly,Basic and PHP i learn myself readding books!

Anyway, programming a game is a difficult task! I know, but i want to try make this for fun and learning!! If i add sucess wonderfull, if not other opportunities will come!!!!!!

Anyway, GLScene should be good for you. Be sure to download the latest version from their CVS, as the one available for downloads on their website is not the latest one.
