Hmm... what would be the best audio, video and graphics formats for a cross-platform game. I require the game to run completely in the OS it was compiled for. Hence, will NOT require wine/winex, etc.

For music I need a module type format(currently using Impulse Tracker IT mods with the MODPlug SDK) that I can loop and hop amoung it's patterns. It would have to free for commertial games aswell.

My game development will remain 2D for now, but I imagine that making a 3D game would prove to be only a slight change in the initialization of SDL?

Since I plan on moving to Linux sometime early next year SDL seems to be my best bet for games development. What other libraries will compliment a Kylix/Delphi-SDL combo?

One more question; :) Information and docs on SDL seem to be somewhat dated. Is there a way to find out current up-to-date information on whats going on with the project?

Thanks in advance.
