Hi!

There's a lot of talk on this board on how to make a game (for natural reasons ), but how many have actually been able to finish making a game?

I just thought it would be interesting to see some of the work people have made. (I probably could browse through this forum but I don't really feel like it plus I doubt everyone post about their games here.)

To start off I've made a game called Ultra War and it's possible to download it from http://www.elektronix.tk. I made it a long time ago and I'm not to happy with the programming but at least I finished it. Also don't confuse it with Ultra War SpinOff which I still work on...

It?¢_Ts hard to define finished, it?¢_Ts possible to create a small one level game and call it finished, or make a much larger playable game, but if more content is planned then it wont be called finished. If by finishing you mean getting it to play and not planning to ever improve or add anything to it then here?¢_Ts my 'finished' snake game http://www.stud.ktu.lt/~andrpau/Snake.zip, 16Kb uses DirectDraw.

Hi :)

I guess I'm like lots of people here, I haven't finished plenties of games :)

In fact for the moment I achieved some work on tech demos and very little games :) the basic ones like Space Invaders and Tetris :)

Actually I'm working bigger project, a FPS called Sanaloria (with a friend of mine who is making the gfx)

Here are some screenshot of what has been achieved yet :

I'm actually working on the first release of the engine ... But ^^ It's rather difficult and even more when you're alone :P

You can tele me what you think of it, any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

I just finished a block game for a competition, so I can't post the game here because there were 28 games sent to the competition and the judges aren't done yet. But I can post a screenshot  :

(the quality of the image is bad and the game was improved a bit after taking this screenshot)

Both are made on programming compo. First one was a one week compo 1yr ago, second 12hour compo 2yrs ago.

Currently working on some web based game project with made in Delphi game client. Webapp must be made in Java, its hard to find ASP server for hosting so we cant make webapp in D8 ASP.NET :(

I think that for 1000 started project, just 1 or 2 get finished.. and this not only in delphi, but whatever non-commercial game.
I've got a couple of finished games, one of which is quite interesting and i'm proud of it (but it is not in english).
But i also have more that a hundred of unfinished projects, some just at the beginning, some well developed that i'll never end.
I think that finishing a single game is actually more important than having tons of good-looking work-in-progress games.

In fact i was quite surprise to see horrorween finished :P I was very cool but overall it was finished :P

I remember finishing a couple of very simple games when I first started on my journey into games programming (They have since been lost, never to be seen again). But none of my bigger pojects ever get finished. I very nearly completed a worms clone. It is one of my major grievances, I just can't seem to muster the enthusiasm by the time i've compiled a couple hundred times. That's why they all fail. But I have a new isomtric project at the moment so here's hoping but don't hold your breath.

Have a gander at retrospec.sgn.net.

I've completed Quazatron and Halls Of The Things in Delphi. Assault is well underway, and there is another Delphi project there called Turmoil. In fact I've also written a 'game' called Spectrum Adventure for the Sudslore adventure creator (Sudslore.com). That is in Delphi too.

I've made some games with DelphiX. Nothing big, but I'm getting better all the time.
Here (http://www.angelfire.com/rpg/FireStorm)'s my little homepage.
I start making a lot of games, but they seldom get finished.

Well the block game competition has ended. I didn't do so well, didn't get to the final. :( But anyways heres the game in case someone would like to try it out.

The game: http://www.bylkkisoft.vze.com/downloads/blocked.zip

Especially(spelling?) people with ati radeon cards please download and test. I'm not sure if it works correctly with ati cards.

Comments and critics are welcome.

Bylkki: Wierd bug with ATI Radeon 7500 Mobility... the game window flickers on mouse move in the menu, and in-game, the window switches to transperant -> solid every 300ms or so.

Thats very odd. I only have computers with geforce cards. I have no idea why it does that. :? I'll try to fix that... maybe... someday.

Well I finished a couple of games which are all available on my website. Nevertheless, with time, I become more and more lazy and it begins very hard to complete something.

I have currently 3 unfinished games projects.

But I'm also working with the DGDev Team on 2 other games, based on the Basilisk engine. These ones are living very well !

I've always had problems finishing games! :) However I did finish a chess game (which has a weird bug I can't seem to get out).

Currently I have no game projects of my own, however, like momor, I'm a member of the DGDev team and we have finished one game, Horrorween ( http://horrorween.qano.net ) and we are working on the Basilisk engine and a few game projects at the moment! :)
