hi (this doesnt fit into the sound sub catagories so it goes here! :) )

im creating a racing simulation and wounderd if any of you had any knowladge about real time engine sound calculations.

this method creates a realistic engine sound without using any wav/mp3 etc files.

an example can be found here http://performancesimulations.com/files/EngineSoundModel.zip

and here http://performancesimulations.com/files/carenginedemo.exe

im interested if any of you have knowladge on how to compleate this effectivly

I found your question interesting and started browsing the web, however did not find anything else than demos, however I did find a few links that might be usefull and that might contain stuff I overlooked:

http://www.gamedev.net/reference/list.asp?categoryid=51
http://www.gamedev.net/reference/list.asp?categoryid=34
http://www1.coe.neu.edu/~mourant/pubs/VSMM2003.pdf

GameDev is by far the most complete Sound Development link site I know, I have been searching for audio explanations myself lately and found that developers either didn't want to share a lot of information on it or didn't know a lot about it! :)

If you ever find an article that explains the generation of engine sounds let me know! :)
