SDL 1.3 Will Be Under ZLIB License

According to
Sam Lantinga on the libsdl.org site,
SDL 1.3 will be under zlib license. He reported that they were going forward with licensing terms
"that are compatible with open source and commercial projects" via the sdl mailing list. This will provide you absolutely free static linking on iOS and other platforms.
SDL development will mostly be community driven, but they will be working to make it easier to contribute to in many ways and are looking for people interested in helping out. Meanwhile, both
Ryan C. Gordon and Sam, himself will continue to co-ordinate patch integration and SDL releases.

The zlib license basically says this:
- Do what you want (but don't take our names off the source code).
- Don't sue us (no warranty).
- Mention us in the documentation if you like, but you don't have to.
