This is literally a life saver: If not for the extra time I would have to pur up with an atrocity of an architecure.... Now I can re-write and re-organize

Now we just might be able to get some better models and graphics into the game!

Oops, I just heard about this contest by Ingemar's message in the MacPascal list... Is it too late for me to enter? Two days to make a game seems a bit too short...

Hello, btw! I just registered and this is my first message! (And Ingemar got a new referer )

Hi! I just registered your website after I read about the game contest in Ingemar's messgae in the MacPascal mailing list.

I'd love to join, but two days seems a bit short to make a game, doesn't it?

      Hi and welcome to PGD!

Well 2 days is a wee bit short, but if you can make something within 2 days --it's been done before-- (see here) then by all means feel free to try.

So exactly how much time is left in the competition?

It is Saturday 16th July, 8pm here in Australia at the moment

      cheers,
      Paul

I'm officially out. Didn't have the time/motivation to actually get something working. I was too busy messing with my Linux server and making fun IRL. Not sure whether I will develop the game I originally wanted to do for the compo. It should be doable in a week or so.

From my standpoint its 2 days of all nighters which is unlikely; as a test its a great one. I finally have a new architecture and real experience in multithreaded problems for the future but nothing I would want to submit...

Well you technically have until midnight on the 17th, but I'm not looking closely at the clock. I may just wait until I get home Monday from work to shut off the FTP. Once they are scored I'll put them all back up with screenshots and everything where everyone can see and try them.

OK, then "today" should work as guide in swedish time too.

I worked quite hard on my game today - after 7 full days of not doing anything.

The game works - however it seems a muti-level score is not saved - bug 1

There are currently no high-score tables.
      Ther are no sound effects.
(Both were planned and not completed in time)

To quit the game select quit from the menu - there is no way of cancelling a puzzle while in the middle of it - except Alt-F4.

Castle Of Thorns is currently Windows only - but will compile for any platform that has FreePascal, SDL and OpenGL - should be a straight compile for Linus and Mac. (but I dont have either so it stays Windows only)
