    Is your caps-lock broken?

    You can neither play MIDI nor MP3 with DelphiX directly. I saw a DirectShow add-on for DelphiX once that could play MP3s. But it's prolly easier to just use FMOD (http://www.fmod.org) or BASS (http://www.un4seen.com).

    There's a Delphi component pack out, based on DirectX 9, called DSPack. The components can play MP3, I tried this and it works good... I did not try MIDI, but I guess this is no problem, too...
