Hello PaulR and welcome to PGD!

I think you'll find that Object Pascal is BFF material!

Many here enjoy making games with it and continue to do so today. Some of those folks even make a pretty decent living from it too!

I myself am working with another community member on a commercial game for the new OUYA gaming console. So as you can see there is lots of opportunity for the language in your game development. Lots of tools and lots of different target platforms. Most of course, supporting Windows.
