    game distribution through our site

I have contacted a number of game devlopers and have offered them this partnership. I would like to propose a partnership of sorts with anyone else who is interest. Treasure Hunt is a patented location based pervasive game for GPS enabled handheld devices. To be specific our main target is cell/mobile phones with the intention of future expansion to other devices. Treasure Hunt is unlike anything out there; our game incorporates a video based clue hunt, with a virtual mech battle game (see botfighters). I can go into greater detail but suffice it to say there are two purposes for a person to play our game. 1) Pure entertainment value. 2) The winner of our game gets a cash prize starting at $100 US, odds are the prize money will start at $500.

I would recommend that you visit our site however it is in disarray at the moment as we are still developing our game in conjunction with our website. Everything should be up and ready to go in a few months. In fact I found out today my graphics people expect the site to be 90% completed in a few weeks. What I would like to propose is that you utilize our website to sell your game(s).

The critical factor as far as you would be concerned would be website traffic. In the US alone there are over 90 million cell phone users. If we were to have just 1% of the entire US cell phone population playing our game that equates 900,000 users. Just to give you an example of how successful the cell phone market can be, a very basic cell phone bowling game sold 500,000 copies last year. That game probably cost less than $30,000 to develop. We have invested many times that.

Naturally we will target more than just the US market; our goal is to get this game to all major cell phone markets world wide. From there we intend to port this game to other systems

We intend to make our website a one stop shop for gamers; with the anticipation of heavy traffic the sale of video games in other formats just makes sense. One of the reasons why we are so confident in having large numbers visit our site is that we have created our game in such a manner that the game play almost requires a player to utilize our site.

In exchange for our advertising/selling your game(s) we in turn would want to see a percentage of all sales that come from our site. This is negotiable but we would need some form of incentive. I need to note that selling your game(s) through our site will not limit you any any way to sell your games through other sites or by other means.

If you are interested in my proposition please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about our game and this idea.

I think you underestimate the number of Cell Phone users considerably. In South Africa (a market about 10% of the USA) there are over 6 million cell phone users!

I guess that in the USA you are looking close to 100Million cell phone users.

You are correct. I apologize for the mistake in our math. My assistant gave me those figures and I unfortunately did not have a chance to confirm them. As of the late 1990?¢_Ts the number was around 90 million users.

I'd love to get involved in game for Cell Phones (I bought a SmartPhone enabled phone just to see what it would be like) unfortunatly for us Delphi/Pascal developers is that there is no language support for Pascal on phones.

That?¢_Ts the beauty of what we are offering developers such as yourself. I know that you have a number of very good games created using Delphi. i am sure there are many more talented developers out there also. We don't want you to create games for us. Although it would be an interesting idea. We want you to keep doing what you are doing, then sell them through us. Take advantage of our expected sales and web traffic. We are creating a shop on our site for the sale of such downloadable web/pc games and other items.

If anyone comes up with a cell game then great but right now I am very interested in selling PC games and the like.

One reason why we are so interested in selling web/pc and other types of games is that anyone who comes to our site most likely will be into video games. Lets say we have 10,000 customers. It would be a pretty good guess to say that 90% of those customers are playing the game because they like video games. Odds are those 90% will also visit our site to customize their mech and characters, buy new weapons and new mechs. While on our site they might be a little bit bored, looking for something to do. That?¢_Ts where games by developers such as yourselves come into play.

It won?¢_Tt cost developers anything other than the small percentage of sales we will take to sell their game through our site. We can?¢_Tt give any guarantees on traffic or sales but selling your games through us certainly won?¢_Tt hurt sales. I look at this as a win win situation for all parties involved.

Have you considered Palm? Or other wireless handheld computers? There is a great free Pascal compiler for Palm OS.

Also a commercial one that resembles Delphi's IDE a bit more.
