    FMOD to replace DelphiX audio

Been playing with FMOD recently, and am very impressed. Has anyone used this? After rooting around the help for a while, it appears I should be able to easily transfer all of my sound routines to FMOD, and gain an extraordinary amount of extra functionality also - and thats not mentioning the music capabilities.

Yeah FMOD is definatly a nice way to go. You could also consider using the BASS sound library http://www.un4seen.com/ . Its just as good. i find it uses a lil less CPU power to perform the same. How ever i dont use advanced sound features

    FMOD to replace DelphiX audio

    Hi nzo2,

I am using FMOD in my dogfight compo entry for the first time. I did not need a day to implement 3Dsound (which really sounds 3D  ). Great library!

    Regards,
    Dirk

    FMOD to replace DelphiX audio

FMOD rocks actually! I have mentioned it before, we wanted to use it in the audio engine for Baslisk, but we steered away from it since it's only freeware for freeware use! But for a freeware game it's definately one of the best solutions!
Do it by the book, but be the author!
