I forgot to ask some of the guys for their OS, but I expect it will be Windows 2000 or XP. Either way I will update this news item as soon as they let me know.

Uploading Demos
--------------------
Jon "Tux" Walton has gracefully given us some upload space on his server.
If you are entering the competition please upload your entries to www.vadertrophy.com/filemanager/
and use the username = PGD & password = PGD ( the password is case sensitive ).
So all entrants will upload their entries on or before the 15th of March.
Once uploaded you will not be able to delete the files, so if you need to upload a new version of your game you will need to contact Tux.

Since these games will be Open Source, I am looking into creating a SourceForge project that will host all the entries ( source and binaries ). I am waiting to hear back from the SF project acceptance team. In the mean time please send me a private message and let me know what your SourceForge login is if you have it. If we get approval from SF, the entries will then be uploaded to SF and once source code is submitted, that will also be committed to SF.

change the bus speed / cpu multiplyer in the bios or jumpers on the motherboard. the older celerons were quite overclockable

ASUS motherboards allow jumperless overclocking. Just go into the BIOS settings and select manual CPU speed settings. The clock multiplier is locked, but you can change the clock speed. I cannot remember what the clock speeds are. I overclocked it the day I got it several years ago and it has stayed that way ever since.

I've even played around with overclocking my P4 2.4GHz, but the difference in speed is not as noticeable as the change from 500MHz to 913MHz.

Wow, so many machines running Win2003 and XP... how much did it cost to buy all the licenses? (if you did )

I know mine are legit. Cost me a few hundred dollars too. I tell people that all the software on my machines is legit and they think I'm crazy.

there is no way to overclock celeron 500 to 900mhz, i had two of them and they went up to 580 and more was all freezing.
