Whats your favorite 3D Modeling App?

I tried character modelling and i find it to be very difficult and time consuming. Your work on that head is very impressive. What modelling technique did you use for that?
Yes it is indeed very difficult and time consuming. It sometimes takes a whole evening just to make a proper ear or nose. But fortunately, I goes better and faster which each time, so hopefully, in a few years time, I'll be able to do this within a day or so, instead of a whole week.

Anyway, for this model I used point-by-point modeling (with a background image as reference).

Whats your favorite 3D Modeling App?

I use Milkshape for all my low poly modelling.. It's very basic but does everything I need. I build my models 1 vertex at a time. Takes ages but it's worth it.

    My favorite Zbrush

I love creating 3d models just as I love coding. Unfortunatelly I don't have much time to do it due to the heavy coding job.

My favorite was ZBrush, it's really amazing, ever tried it ?

At USD$489 per license, ZBrush is not cheap. It may be great, and even some of the artists where I work are using it for next-gen console artwork, but its out of the realm of the hobbyist developer.

My favourite 3d app for now is Google Sketchup. Works easy and allows you to use easy to write custom exports.
For skeleton animation i am still searching for something better then Milkshape and Anim8or that is cheap(or better free) and allows easy (custom) export. I dont like blender as i just do not understand it.

    3D max ftw!!

I also used Google sketchup, but it's not useful for game models. Maybe there's some secret setting to gain control over culling??

I use DeleD . It is really easy to use if you want some nice low-poly models for your games. No steep learning curve.
