Thread: mini version :P

    mini version :P

I've had this idea: since the JEDI-SDL package is growing bigger and bigger, with demo, example, etc etc, why not create a "mini" version?
This version should have ONLY the bindings.
It would be useful for releasing with the games or when you don't want to download various MB of stuff (at work )

On the JEDI-SDL mailing list, we are discussing this possiblity. On Windows we could probably use Inno Setup as it is free.

I would also like to have SourceForge create nightly builds. Anyone know how?

Not sure why this is needed :?

All that would improve it is just a download with the pas units and maybe the dlls. This would be a less that 2MB download and enough for someone who already knows how to use the libraries. Why have an install? Its just a copy into directories and set the tool library link. A better method is just to include a clear readme.

Hmm... well if the installer configures Delphi/Kylix/Lazarus/FPC for you that might be handy...

Being able to pick and choose from the demos that you include might be good for some.

    Not a bad idea...
