    What exactly does "Retro" mean? It's a pretty vague term, I agree. I general rule is: The game must simulate what a pre-1988 game would look/feel like.

    Havnt had much time. Work is hectic and getting my daughter making games in Game Maker is really tiring

    Fighting A* at the moment - my old implementation keeps crashing so decided to redo it.

    Well, as long as you're still working on it

    A* is on my list too, but thanks for mentioning that I as it did remind me of your tutorial about A* here on PGD

    Btw, have you seen the screenshot thread over at gamedev? Some are quite amazing. There's even one that looks a bit like your game. Graphics wise that is.

    You wouldn't be thinking of the screenshot that cairns posted of his own entry on page 5, would you?

    hmm. well me and *other people* are making a breakout clone. but were using shaders etc

    It would very geeky to write a game that uses pixel shaders to make the graphics look pre-'88.
