I have a problem of execute Delphi 7 !!!!

Hello.

I have just installed Delphi 7 after uninstalling Delphi 6..

but Delphi 7 doesn't work!!!

Whenever I execute Delphi 7, it shows me an error 'Runtime error 216'..

How shall I do?

My OS: Windows xp professional SP2

Have you installed all the Delphi 7 service packs? Other than that you may have to try re-installing it from scratch,

Strange, 216 is ERROR_EXE_MACHINE_TYPE_MISMATCH. Quick googleing sugests it might be a work of a trojan

I have installed Delphi7 by all ways(Typical, Contact, Custom)..
I'm very sad.

Maybe I have to use Delphi 6 T_T

If you open two copies of delphi 7 at the same time you will also get the 216 error. I believe its a file on your machine that must be locked or something similar. I often have three or four copies of Delphi 7 running at the same time (Web Services server, Presentation Layer server, a Testing App and one of my games). To do this I need to wait a few minutes after opening one delphi before I open the next.
