Recent Spam Attacks

Recently PGD has been hit by a series of daily spam attacks. To combat this we have taken a couple of measures to help stop these annoying messages from popping up on our forums. These attacks include spam posts and spammer accounts.

Now all visitors who wish to post in the forums must register to post. No more anonymous posting.

Also, newly registered members must now be looked at by one of the 3 site admins and activated manually. This is the only inconvenient part I think. Those that want to become new site members, if your account does not allow you to post or login, please bare with us. Your account should be activated within 24 hours there is usually at least one of us within that time.

I had to do the same to the delphigames mailing list. Even though that list is more or less dead now, the only way I could stop the spammers was to moderate new members.

why not just install a anti bot mod in the register/login pages
